Safety and Health of Working Environment
Occupational Safety and Health Policy and Management System:
NAE places great emphasis on occupational safety and health. In accordance with the “Occupational Safety and Health Act” and related regulations, it has formulated the “Safety and Health Work Code of Conduct,” applicable to all factories in Taiwan, Mainland China, and Vietnam, including all employees, contractors, and visitors, achieving 100% site coverage.
To implement and promote various occupational health and safety plans, the Group has established occupational safety and health teams at its headquarters and each production base. These teams are responsible for formulating and implementing workplace safety and health management policies, supervising occupational safety and health performance, and updating the current status of occupational safety regulations. General employees can also provide suggestions to their supervisors and occupational safety and health labor representatives via telephone and email. All employees can access relevant occupational safety and health laws and regulations through factory bulletin boards, training sessions, and other means.
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Management:
To identify potential hazards in the work environment and operational processes, the Group’s Occupational Safety and Health unit conducts annual hazard identification and occupational safety risk assessments. Hazards are identified based on chemical, physical, human factors engineering, biological, and other safety and health factors. The severity and likelihood of hazards are assessed to determine the risk level, and risk control measures are implemented. Based on the risk level, response strategies and action plans are developed to continuously improve and reduce hazard risk values. All identification and assessment personnel in each unit are also required to receive 4 hours of risk assessment training annually to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge and skills in risk assessment and hazard identification.

Occupational Accident Investigation Procedures:
To ensure the safety of all workers, when there is an immediate risk of danger in the workplace, the workplace supervisor should immediately stop work and ensure that all workers evacuate to a safe location. If workers discover a dangerous situation in the workplace, they may stop work and evacuate to a safe location, and report the incident to their superiors for appropriate response measures, thus avoiding disciplinary action.
If an occupational accident occurs at NAE, after the accident, on-site personnel should immediately report to the responsible department and implement emergency response measures. Subsequently, the supervisor of the unit where the accident occurred will convene a team of relevant departments to form an investigation team. Through personnel interviews, equipment inspection and analysis, review of relevant documents and records, and reconstruction of the accident scene, the team will identify the cause of the accident and propose corresponding corrective and preventative measures. The responsible department will continuously monitor and track the incident to prevent similar accidents from recurring.

Occupational Safety and Health Education and Training:
To ensure all employees understand occupational safety and health regulations and are familiar with the company’s safety and health management mechanisms, the Group provides employees with diversified safety and health education and training in accordance with regulations and job requirements. This includes general on-the-job training and professional skills training, such as for occupational safety and health business supervisors, occupational safety and health staffs, safety production leaders, and fire safety leaders. In addition, the Group regularly conducts disaster prevention drills to enhance employees’ emergency response capabilities. In 2024, the Group’s occupational safety and health education and training program had a total of 465 participants and 867 hours of training.

Occupational Health Services and Promotion Activities:
To build a friendly, healthy, and safe workplace, NAE continuously promotes various health services and promotion programs to ensure that employees receive comprehensive care for their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. These initiatives enhance employees’ sense of identification and cohesion with the Company, thereby continuously creating competitive advantages for the organization.
